I can't Phil, but this I can tell you, there will not be another 41!!!.Anyhoo,Rails had some new releases on line from Hornby, nothing really exciting, but I did purchase the BR 20 ton B/V with the 'new tooling',it's supposed tp be 'in-stock' today the 18th. It's one wagon you can't have enough of..in my mind, plus I've got a 'personal' relationship with them, they were my 'home' for more than 3 years on the Railway, be good to have a decent model of one! Hornby stuff is getting very expensive now, for one of these 'vans' ,you'll now pay 17.75 UK pounds if there is no discounting,Rails had it on offer for 14.95,better than a slap in the teefs, I wonder how much over here??.....Dave

Be expensive here I'd say, without doubt......
There may not be another 41.....but if I'm going another 100 years, you'll have to come too, I need someone to talk to, drink beer with, build ships and play trains with.........Phil

You don't look like 58 Anthony,'another' 58 will take you up to just 116.....that's possible, and Phil,as much as I would like to hang around with you for the next 100,do you honestly think the 'big man' upstairs will allow us beer???, probably the man in red with horns on will have a few 'dens of iniquety'...pubs 'n' clubs, but I would imagine that the 'heat' from the 'bad fires' will surely melt our plastic kits and warp our wooden ones, our trains don't stand a chance, just have to sit, talk, drink??...."sigh!!".........Dave

Nooo......You've got it wrong, we're going to model train heaven..... we can sit, drink and tell stories, and the best part is.... cos it's heaven, we don't need electricity to run our trains......Phil

The Backmann bauxide cement powder wagons arrived,'fantastically detailed wagons', for sure, shame all the running numbers are the same, don't think it's a good idea then to have 'boxed' sets (3 off) if they all have the same running number!! The Hornby lastest 'new tooling' 20 ton Guards Van arived as well, "wow", huge difference between this version and the 'old', it even has glazed windows, the tiny windows in the 'ducit'(dookit) are glazed also ,all this wagon needs is 'me' on the veranda, the windows dirtied (they were perspect in real life),you could hardly see out of them for dirt and scratches!! A wee bit dubious weathering.... and lamps...beautiful job Hornby!!.......Dave

I looked them up, very nice indeed.....
It's a pity about your numbers tho, I thort the reasoning behind box sets was to have differing numbers....not those it seems from Bachmann....Phil

"Naw",why bother Phil, the frigging things are so small anyway, it's not going to loose me any sleep over them, but I don't think I'll be getting more ,like up to a rake of 30 or something like that..I actually saw a photo in one of my Railway mags,an 'oo' layout, shoofungus' with a steam loco pullinga rake of so many of these wagons ,I could not count them!!,and at almost 40 quid for 3 ....the cost...'Wow' When I eventually get something up and running, I'll run mostly 'mixed' freight trains, I love the variety of these and the shunting possibilities, dropping 3 off there, 4 off there, one off there....but I am looking at a 'non mixed' train. a ballast train, and with my new brake van in tow , a class 20 or 25 at the head and a 'wee me' leaning over the 'van-randa' it'll be like taking me back to me old job, mind you, I'll need to kid myself on a wee bit as I didn't do the ballast trains till the 80z, my trains will be in 60z mode!!.....Dave
