Well after a small problem with my old laptop having a graphic card over heated problem, I now have my Macbook working fine. But I’ve been keeping busy modelling most with my Bismarck nearly got the whole back super structure competed. But I’ve now picked a name for my railway The Tinder Valley Railway. In the picture you can see the station sign though my T has came off. The halt below is a graham farish one but I’ve removed one of the slopes and added the kit built crane. Also working on the station, pictures to come soon.

Tinder Valley Railway is a very nice name. Better send someone out to repair that sign pronto, 1 of the cleaners could probaly do it, as 1 of them probaly knocked the T off in the 1st place. - LoL ;D ;D ;D Love the crane.

Well is been some time since I last posted so I thought, I’d pop by. Bin quite busy got 3 assignments to do for my degree. Just came back from holiday, visited the Swanage railway. You just can’t beat steam trains. My railway is sort of on hold at the moment just loads to do. Need to ballast my track (which i’m not looking forward to, going to book 2 – 3 days off work in October to get a run at it, when I’ve done it in stages in the past its always looked funny and not right), fit some molex connectors to save me having to keep unscrewing the wires every time I use it. Fit to roof timbers to my engine shed to add more realism, blacked out my new signal box I’ve bought so it can be lit up, same with the watershed. Also added some more trains to my railway, a 08 class diesel, a j94 steam engine, a 91 class electric engine and merchant navy class engine.

Sounds like your going well with it.
You'll need a large yard and loco depot to keep all the locos and rollingstock soon. - LoL ;D

The signal box is by graham farish which looks much better than the old Peco one. The Station is the one which came with “build a model railway” which some people say it’s made by Bachmann, but they own graham farish because graham farish is the brand name for n-gauge and Bachmann is the OO-gauge. Also the track has Atlas wrote on it. So if anyone knows who the station is made by, it would help me loads as I need some more platform.

Looks good. You could always blame the track maintenance crew for doing the damage. What sort of ballast did you use, hopefully when it dries it will be ok, can always add some extra scenery material over it all.

Erm it was Gaugemaster own brand, think it was this one www.gaugemaster.com/item_details.asp?code=GM115&style=main&strType=n&Mcode=Gaugemaster GM115 but it looks more like coloured sand than granite shown in that picture. Yes I know it is technically granite It’s set quite solid, I used water and PVA glue with a bit of washing up liquid to stop the PVA making a shinny surface. I’m going to add scenery material along the edges but I want the non furry type.

A quick update on my n-gauge railway, I’ve repaired the water damaged and bought another station platform, but not decided on a station building. But definitely want another station for fun factor, going to soon order some houses for the layout.
