This old girl hasn't been forgotten, I did some repairs that she needed after the moving around caper, she's fine and is in the "await paint" stage as well, tho her coat will be an undercoat only for now........Phil

Completed the required work on her last night, added the extra bits I wanted to get on the hull......now as with the others I need a fine day to splash the paint......Phil

Added a few more little thingys here and there to her, and I also started work on the aircraft crane, while rummaging thru the boxes of stuff, I found a brass kit from Flyhawk of the crane.

So I figured that I must have bought it, deliberate like, for this very kit, it has the catapults as well.......so building these will give me something to do while I wait for some good painting weather.......Phil

I also acquired a product called CO Contact Cleaner from CRC, it is a spray on cleaner that takes the dirt away when it evaporates, ie fingerprints etc. I remember using it at work to clean motherboards and decided to give it a go on brass PE, works a treat, give it a go it's also plastic safe.........Phil

Better not mention this product to steelyfeefs,CSI might say "the crime scene was wiped clean",too bloody true mate,thanks to CRC CO Contact Cleaner,a crooks best friend!...handy stuff indeed,I should get some!!...Dave

I was impressed, it took all my paw prints off the PE on the ship....see if CSI can lift a print now......Phil

Got some paint on her this morning......nice day, the ambience was very acceptable in the little garden shed, so I bit the bullet and splashed it.....then bugger me.....after I'd cleaned up and put everything away.....I noticed a little spot I missed, aim for a fix it job tomorrow if the weather holds........Phil

Interesting......

I splashed the superstructure and armament this morning, timed it velly well, the wind picked up not long after I finished the task, so all is in the "drying room" now, I'll get a few piccies organized.......Phil
