Well,I got the 'Robert Stern; book on the Lexington Carriers that I 'found' and promptly ordered from the New Zealand bookshop who had one in stock, apparently I'm lucky as there are very few to be had around the world. (remember folks how long it took to get me my Arizona book,I'm not mentioning the cost!!) Anyhoo,I'm very pleased with it,and it's in very good nick for a 1993 publication, the 'bookyfoosty' smell reflects it's age!! A quick review sees it's full of stuff on these carriers and their operations, unfortunately most of the photos are of the 'Saratoga',but I'm sure it'll 'enlighten' me as I progress with the 'Lexington' model, already it has proved one thing, there are no 'eyebrows' above the hull portholes,so they come off,but I'm going to have to 'source' some other book to get more photos.....Dave

I'm really pushing the death squad now Phil, I've been seeking out another book, this time Classic Warship Publications #11 the Lexington Carriers. I thought this would be an easy 'cheap' find..nope,not onyer nelly duff mate,I nearly died when I found it to be 45quid on Amazon UK,I died even more when I saw the price creap up to 287 quid...bugger..this one is even rairer than the other 'Stern' book on the 'LEX'!! So,I looked at other sites that were recommended to me, I searched them out.. and more, but I could find none 'cheaper' than the 45 UK squids, so I bit the bullet, once my mind is set, that's it, so there will be no 'brass' for a few weeks until I gets over this, I'm dead...Dave

Don't know what I did with the ordering of the above book from Amazon,it didn't go through, not a 'lack of funds' thing, I just boobed,so I've given up on the idea,I think it's 45 quid (plus) that I need not spend,I've got my 'Lexington' book, that'll do me,plus theres the 'WWW'.....Dave
