I found my 9v batteries, the black wire only works off the 'negative' side and each one of the red wires lights up an 'LED' when I touch the positive, so, that's not what we thought, but they work, all I need are switches......"Hummmmm??"...... With me being 'out of state' for a couple of days down 'Wodonga' way, I only got to do a little bit on the Sunday, all I did was to raise the 'Metcalfe' platform height 'permanently', fixed the track so that it's all straight through the platform sides that are built. I've still to cut out' the wooden curved sections to finish off the 'up main', then I'll add the 'Metcalfe' card to decorate the wooden platform sections, (tarmac, red brick and edging still got the curved sections to cut out to finish off that platform as well) Once that's all stuck on I need to make up my mind re the station buildings, I might just stick with 'Metcalfe'....... Lastly, more looking and thinking,so I placed the Peco turntable where it was required, cut out the hole and bunged it in,it fits!!..and it turns as well.....Bonus It's not permanently fixed as yet,I've still to connect the power. I figured a pretty crude way to keep the rails in check with the running 'off and on', I drilled a hole through the 'running wheel' frame through to its base, I glued a small nut to the latter,so when the tracks are in line,I simply place the toothpick through the hole in the frame and the little 'nut' holds it there, (like a hand brake??)as I said, it's crude, but it does the job!...and that was it, it got very cold.....abandon garage!!........Dave

Sounds like your busy, I've done nothing......had the contractors at home doing repairs to damage incurred in February , so I've had things put away so their safe and away from prying eyes. I intend to set up a small test track to begin testing all the bits and pieces I got for computer control, I got some gear a few years back from the guys below, and I have only just started to look at it......Phil www.cti-electronics.com/index.htm

I'm thinking of getting a new H&M2000 controller, nearly had one from the UK from a fellow Scotsman but he wouldn't post it as it's weight was over 2 kgs. (1/2 price as well!!) He said that he tried everything to get it under, but couldn't. I wrote back and said 'Try and disgard the huge plug and cord", 'he said' "I didnae thinky that"..but he sold it anyway!! I've asked Rails to try the same, but they've not replied as yet....DAve

number 6, here's a wee look from the coaling tower down on the steam shed. The 4r roads that are occupied with locos will eventually be covered with 4 Metcalfe sheds, well that's a plan! Attachments:

Number 7 is taken down on the shed and shows a rather grubby sawdust covered 'Baby Deltic'. For those interested, note the different coloured 'sole bar' than the original Heljan livery of 'Sherwood Green'..also note the engine access door has been 'lowered' to window level, the bogies have also been altered to sit higher and therefor more realistically closer to the body

number 7 is down 'ont' shed road showing a rather grubby and sawdust covered Heljan 'Baby Deltic'. This loco displays a different coloured sole bar than the original model..my version!. It also sports raised bogie sides and the access door to the engine bay (just above the fuel tanks) has been 'lowered' to window height.... Attachments:

number 9 number 9 number 9 (The Beatles White Album!!) This is looking down the station roads, this shows a 'flash lit' NRM Deltic on a stopping Pullman train. I haven't decided on how I'm going to fix the buildings etc in place, what you see therefor is not permanent, these buildings are just adding some interest and hiding the joints in the cardboard platforms of the 'Metcalfe' kit!! number 10..a rather nice shot of the coaling tower I think, no 'flash' with this one,the loco posing for the shot is a rather grubby A2. Over in the background is the lever frames for the points, their motors and associated wiring!! Attachments:
