Sounds nice. I need my money for my overseas trip right now, or I would be hunting down a couple of Clans and a Britannia. Hopefully with DCC fitted.

Yes, I have to agree Dave, from all reports she is an excellent model, when I come home, I'll have to come and visit, so I can drool all over your fine example of this class.......Phil

Yesterday, the 15th it arrived..all good, and yes she's a stunner, best that Hornby have done in steam??, that could be a resounding yes, it's perfect, well, almost, there is a very thin mould line (only just visible) on the smokebox, you'll only find this if you are looking for something.(I always do, just looking for something to fix if I can, but in this case, it's no worth the effort!!)...Just wish I could see into that cabin!! Unfortunately in real life these locos were not 'perfect' and all were scrapped by 1962, Hornby's chosen loco, died at the end of 1961...so this boy will have to 'kid on' that she made it just a wee while longer in life, but who cares, I don't,(mine is 'preserved!!!) she's a wee beaut and when the time cometh, it'll find a train!!........Dave
