It's a wee beaut Phil, I just wish I was one of the little people 'cause that cab looks to be quite cosy (in reality they were not it seems!!) I'd love to get a gander at the backhead detail, it can hardly be seen, but Hornby still gave it the full detail. I'll need to find an excuse to take the top off!!...Dave

Careful Anthony.......beware when you enter hobby shops over there, they're all infested with little bugs.....when bitten they severely effect your "willpower"............Phil

I've been bitten by them bugs many a time Phil!!..good choice of Locos though Anthony, a Brit and a Clan... or two, you know if you have two Clans, you've got a 5th of the class!! The Brit is a personal favourite of mine,I almost 'spotted' the whole class!, bar 2 I think! Long after the 'Clans' died, the Brits soldiered on, most of the 'foreign' ones from 'other' regions ended up working out of Carlisle and 'North of The Border'(that's how I got to 'cop' as many! They were on everything that could be flung at them but they were never kept in good condition, deplorable states they were in, totally bogging!! devoid of names, big yellow stripes on their cabs, "tut tut" total shame!! I could recognised from the fist time I heard 'the 2 cylinder beat just exactly what Britannia it was working the train that I was just about to see!! Most of the class got scrapped in Scotland and I used to bear witness to this at 'TW Wards of Motherwell', Brits, A4s, A2s and 3s, Patriots and numerous numbers of other classes, IE, black 5s, 9Fs you name it, the list is long!! I used to shed a wee tear as I witnessed their total destruction by wrecking crews on a day to day basis (where I worked was only accross the railway line from it)..Those were the days of progress in the railway toward the ultimate solution..diesel and electric traction!!..........Dave

'Coooeeeee, coooeeeee' ...'Pi Ge On noise' it flew in yesterday..'the Lion' that is..."yip yip" and what a ghostly loco, all nice and white, (really unusual) a real beaut though, but those bogies, they are just asking for a wee bit of light weathering, nothing more, just like tickling Doris!!...( ..who's Doris???..never mind!!) They (Rails) didn't send my magazine I requested, unfortunately, maybe that'll come with my 25? I'm really very pleased with this loco, all I need to get is the 'Deltic' loco (that'll be hard one to track down, I'll get my pal in Scotland onto it!!) and the DP2 (which is a future release) and that'll be all the 'prototype' locos that I really like..10000/1???, probably not, but wait!!,...."Hmmm", I could get a green one???.... and all those Souther Region 10201 and the likes? ....NO thanks...Dave

There will always be something to purchase for one's collection.....but it good to see your goodies are rolling in.....I thought you already had a Deltic..
I'd love a couple of P2's, Cock O' The North with smoke deflectors, and the Wolf of Badenoch with A4 streamlining..........Phil
