Feeling a lot better now, so I have started with the N gauge project again. I have decided against the original trackplan. So at the moment I am playing around with various track plans. When I come up with the final plan, I will post a photo. Baseboard is on the kitchen table, so I will have to be quick!! Martin

Good to hear your feeling better. Don't let SWMBO find that baseboard on the kitchen table or it might suffer a fate worse than death. Look forward to seeing the trackplan.

Just an update to my N gauge railway. I have bought some Peco Streamline flexible track. I was not happy with the Peco settrack. I may use some of the settrack for any hidden sidings. Martin

How come you wasn't happy with the peco track set? I found the flexible track great for the tunnel on my railway; however there was no pin holes to tac it to the board.

You have to drill the pin holes in the track sleepers. The flexi track is so much more realistic than the settrack. the settrack will be okay for any sidings. Martin

Even with Ho flex track you have to make the pin holes, or as I do just push the nail through the sleeper, probaly not the best idea, but it seems to work ok.
