I been building this ship for a couple of years now, I construct a concept ship every now and again, and this one is along the lines of the Super Yamato the Japanese designed, but due to a little downturn in fortunes, she never saw daylight. Now I've decided to post this build, the main points are as such so far........the hull is nearing completion just a bit more work on the joints to the extended hull and bilge keels.......the central boarding point railings......and some brass work being added to certain areas of the hull and superstructure........she is a work in extended progress....Phil Attachments:

This view gives you an idea of how big she will be, she is 83cm long, an extension of 80mm was inserted to accommodate the 4th turret.....Phil Attachments:

In keeping with the Japanese tradition of naming their capital ships after prefectures.....I have named her the......Shimousa......and no Dave, I didn't crack the bottle on her bow......think of the mess......Phil

I reckon cracking a bottle over her bow, might have damaged it..just a wee bit!!!!

I've been a bit slow on this old girl, but a little bit of work on Sunday to her hull, I just wasn't that happy with it.........
I have splashed out and bought the 1/350 Akagi......I've built her in 700 scale, but this one will compliment the other Japanese cruisers and battleships I already have in 350 scale.......Phil
