Well to it.....the kit looks very clean, on first look it appears to be a huge step up from their other offerings.
I have separated the 2 hull pieces, there is a option on the hull parts to waterline the kit, but I couldn't locate any mention of it in the destructions. The interior support parts for the hull are sloppy, however the hull goes together well. Next I dry fitted the deck parts, a little work is required on the mid section, the outer edges are a little thick, but nothing too drastic.
The joint between the deck parts is not good but a nice timber deck will cover that, once level, I'll assemble these parts and then give it a coat of paint, at this point I'm quite happy with it......stay tuned.......Phil

The rudder and shaft assembly, as usual with Academy, it went on but could be a whole lot better, I was going to do the works on it but opted not to as it will be generally hidden......Phil Attachments:

Ship production is once again in full swing here at the 'Devonport Naval Shipyards' on the QE Class Battleship 'HMS Warspite' and I must comment that the yard foreman, who goes by the name of Phil is doing a spiffing job of building her..."3 cheers for Phil"........Dave

I built the stern viewing platform last nite, it needed some minor adjustment, but it looks fine, I think the railing is too thick and some brass would make it look better, but I did say I'd build it from the box and the only after market parts would be the timber deck......so there.
I've put her aside for now as I want to paint the hull before I progress, the job is earmarked for the Anzac day PH, just hope the weather is good......but I'll investigate the superstructure in the interim......Phil
