Anybody used one of these??..I've just purchased one from an Australian seller (Aussie Scenics..E Bay). It thought it was good value at a very reasonable 39.95,('Free postage as well!!) the package consisted of the 'Electric wand' (2x'C' cell batteries, not supplied) a large container with 2 mesh lids, one very fine, the other?,maybe not so fine!..you also get a 'free' sample of 'grass' (I've got more on the way) I haven't tried it out yet, but I'm looking forward to giving it a go,it all looks very good as demonstrated on U Tube,so, perhaps I can throw out the big piece of 'furry' carpet underlay!! Anyhoo, I've a lot to do before I reach the 'grassing' stage, but I'll get a bit of practise in...for sure!!....Dave

I've seen these, no idea how well they work though. Think I will stick to the grass mat way of doing it.

Gave 'the applicator' a 'trial' last night..got a bit of wood,,attached it up as instructed, banged a wee nail into the wood, run glue round that, attached the 'earth' wire to the nail, then put some 'sample grass' into the 'tub', pressed the 'on' button on the applicator thingy and tapping the tub to release the grass, it 'seemed' to work. OK, now this was my first go at it, and yes, on close inspection you could see the strands of 'grass' were standing on end, so, it's definately working, I must also point out, the 'sample' that I'm using was of a fine 'low' spring grass. Anyhoo, I gave it another go,but this time I used a brass 'household' tack to attach the 'earthing' clip to(I thought perhaps the nail's too thin,so by using a tack,I've increased the contact area?)) and this time I got the first indication of 'power' as there was a bit of a 'spark' as the 'wire mesh' on the sprinkler tub came into contact with the earthing clip.."Wow!!", so much power I thought from a couple of 'D' cell batteries!!! So,my conclusion?, it works!, but it will be quite time consuming 'laying down' the grass as opposed to using the grass mats, but the more I use it the better I'll get in mastering it,(I hope!!), the results should be quite worthwhile and as there are so many varieties of 'Static' grass....'in height, and colour, so it'll be 'f-u-n!!'.............Dave
P/s, I placed an 'OO' scale 'lady' on my grassed area (for effect)and even though it was 'low' it came up to her 'shins!'.. I pressed down on her to get her to stick to the glue and I broke her two legs off, now the grass as far as she's concerned comes up to her bum!!
