OH NO ! ... Anthony now you got me looking at my Jap sub again. I got stuck ages ago on removing the hydraulic plastic representations at the front so I could replace them with brass and wire. Having got it out again for the photo I came up with a way to do it. I turned my tiniest screw driver into a 2mm chisel. Worked a treat .I also found a metal paint that will work really well to weather the overall black paint job. It was close to finished so I might give it a run see if I can finish it.Should only be a small diversion from the main job (endeavor) lthump

Scratch building the hydraulic actuators for the torpedo caps, so may take a bit to get moving. Depends on how hard it gets

Well I gave it heck of a go and after a number of setbacks I finally got something to work. I will be putting them all together tomorrow. I finally got the conning tower cable protectors made out of brass and am happy with . it.. The kit had a solid piece but it's actually two thin pieces The torpedo cap release actuators were difficult, smaller than I thought which complicated things. Cutting 1mm x 1.5mm long pieces of tube was tedious...uuggh. I'll post a pic when I can.
