It's been a while on the 'carriage' site, well, did I not get a wee surprise.(??) I was up in me loft 'looking' for a set of 'brake blocks' for my 'new Cl22' (I'm detailing the bogies) I was going through various boxes/containers as I new "that wert the last place from wence I sawr it!!"(harr) Anyhoos, here is a box with wagons,I had a quick look, naw, not in there, but I'll take this down from the loft and bung it in the garage, and just as I was backing off to go 'doon the ladders' I notice this loco kit (Wills) a small 'oo' 0-6-0 pug,I opened it up just to be nozy, here's the Brakes, unfortunately only enough to do one bogie, but they are on anyway. Back to the box, first up coffee, canny open the box without a cup of..wagons, lots of them,kits,Tri-ang Hornby, Trix, plus a few others, not in the best of nick, mostly missing doors, couplings, but good enough for running on a 'mixed goods!!' Next 'carriages',I can't remember exactly how many,I had Backmann Suburbans,a rake of 5, I think a couple of 'Syphons' one SR green, and the the ' Pierre to La resisteronce' 4 Backmann 'carriages' in SR green, I think they are 'Maunsels' but they are my first lot green stock, and with the 'green' Syphon, that's a nice wee train..woo hooo!! This was part of my best mates stuff that I brung back from South Africa after attending his funeral...I also found two chickens and a sheep in the 'Wills' box!!......Dave

You could try the white glue trick, but if you do, your windows are never coming out again........Phil

They are pretty decent looking coaches as well Phil and would definately benefit from 'flush glazing'. I could go and get some 'clear plastic' and start 'cutting',but I've been there and did that with a 'Lima' 2 car DMU using the containers from 'Tic Tac' mints..it took forever, but I never had bad breath!!!... I'm not sure if 'white glue' would work over such a big surface, it might not be perfectly clear, and it usually has 'pitting' in it,a past experience!!..Dave P/S, Tic -Tac plastic 'containers' also offer the plasic in different colours,ie,blue, that could be handy for 'newish' coaches 'and and and'... that have 'tinted' windows? .......................... moooooooooooooooooo.......

Do you really need to worry about the windows, if the coaches look ok as is.........Phil

I don't worry as such Phil,It just makes the coaches look better, but I've stated a fact that they are 'pretty good',I can live with it...cough!!...........Dave
P/S, just read a bit on line recently re the subject of these 'older' coaches, some say 'yay',others say 'nay' to running them, bung em in a siding, one said, one 'orrible twat says, "run THESE?,not on your life old chap,by todays standards, absolute crap, who I shay in their right mind would run these?....me!...that response got the reply it so ritchly deserved, toffee nosed twat!!!!.Dave
