This seemed to be the best sub heading to put this under anyway i’ve been busy and bought a Tamiya Scania R620 Highline RC Model, still not done yet still need to buy a radio controller, receiver, speed controller, battery pack and charger and the lighting kit for it. It’s quite a good kit, very good built quality. The truck has a gear box with a low speed, normal and high speed gears. The 5th wheel can have a servo to make uncoupling trailers by remote controller. The instructions can be a bit misleading at times. Most of the parts are put together by bolts and screws.

I've been wanting one of the Tamiya r/c trucks for a long time, only never seen one in the shops anywhere.

I've never seen one in the shops, seen them on E-bay. had a look on model sites and found one but as soon as I bought one they said they were out of stock and would take a week to arrive. So looked on amazon and they had one for £318, however you need to decide if you want it as a RC model because in step 2 or 3 you have to fit a servo in. which looks like a pain to fit after its built. I just bought 2 servos for 7.99 each off eBay. Taken a risk because I can’t test them yet. A few model sites do kits for them which include all the RC kit you need.

Funny you should say, I've been thinking about it I need to put lights in it and get a radio controller kit but the radio kit is about £130 and the other kit is about £349 so it's a funding issue at the moment.

Some are selling ones they have built with all the extra kits for about £899 so it's a expensive kit to build fully.

I'm going to have to get one of these sometime, only I would go for the King Hauler version. Trucks always need a good wash, shows they have been getting used.
