Well I was having a look on e-bay and saw an O-gauge flying Scotsman kit with motor its half built and got it for £330 ;D ;D ;D £600 less than what hachette’s partwork would of cost and about £400 less than a DJH Engineering kit. I’ll post some pictures when it arrives.

That's a great buy Andy, you've saved a fortune indeed, just let's you see that every now and then you do get a bargain on Ebay. I got a bargain like that a long time ago, picked up 60 issues of the Titanic for 40 bucks, and at 14.95 a pop.....bargain!! Have 'fun' building your Flying Scotsman Andy, well done, looking forward to those pictures...Dave

Yay it's come, it's the hachette one as the boiler is plastic and from what I have read the DJH kit has a brass one, the bad news no instructions on how to fit some of the parts on, hope that someone on here has made this and can help.

Looks good and with all the parts added on, a touch up of paint and maybe some light weathering it will look even better.

Anyone know what colour this is? I’ve tried humbrol apple green to dark and another which turned out blue and Doncaster I tested on the boiler and it now looks like BR Green.
