Well here we go, 1st photo of hopefully hundreds, The righthand chassis frame with bushes installed. Took a bit of effort, as I had to carefully enlarge the openings and then drfited the bushes info place with a hammer, finishing off with pliers to get them in nice and straight.

With either version I would have to do some scratch building and if I motorise it, I think I'll avoid the motor and drive they are planning to supply. From what I have read on other forums it will only be good enough to run the loco along the 3' of track they supply with no load coupled on behind!!!

The start of the cab, parts have only been dry-fit at this stage. Cab floor, bit more work needed on the cab before I install it.

I've had a major problem come up, (well could be major). The rear chassis has fallen apart. The metal had to be folded and flexed once to often and came apart. Now to work out how to either glue it back together or make a new part. Still thinking about the repairs to the part that broke. Pushed on with some other parts though. They could have supplied 2 wheels, typical hachette efficiency.

1 more wheel set for the tender and 1 wheel + axle for the locomotive. Added the 1st set of wheels to the locomotive. Had to ream out the parts the axle sits in though, the wheels would barely turn to start with.

Flying Scotsman has all her driving wheels on now. Only problem the rear ones rub against the footplate section. Don't know as yet if a spacer part has to go in between the chassis and footplate yet!!! Some more photos of the Flying Scotsman, I almost have the rear chassis back together after it broke into several pieces.

Added some white metal parts to both the Locomotive and the Tender. Some photos of the build. Managed to reattach the part that had broken off.

Think I'll finish collecting issues before I do any more of it. Wonder why they didn't deliver the new chassis with issue 99 as was stated in an earlier magazine, well 1 of mine said a new chassis was coming in issue 99. Issue 99 and no new parts suplied. Anyone else get new parts then.
Issue 52 Minor changes concerning the chassis frame, guard irons and large footplate supports will be required. We will therefore be supplying replacements for these parts with issue 99, as well as steps required to implement these modifications.
