Bucket found, it was inside the ship next to another one. It didn't fall off it fell in.Lower deck floor repaired. I can now move forward on building again. Thank goodness , There's nothing worse than wrecking something you've done and were happy with, Anyway all's well that ends well. Will try to get some pics up as I attack the Great cabin. The trouble is I can hear all the deck furniture calling to. I want to do it all at once Must focus

Good to hear you found the bucket and that the lower floor has been repaired. You'll soon have her sailing to view the transit of Venus and to search for Terra Australis Incognita.

Thanks Anthony. appreciate your comments. Some extra brass arrived today. 0.4x2.35mm strips. Now I've worked out how to cut them in half length ways I can finish the rudder. That's the lower half of the hull finished. The kit is a little short on the brass needed plus the extra won't go astray. .The question is do I clear coat it then or wait so the paint doesn't get knocked around?

Bugger , real life is getting in the way. I had to do other things rather than be in my shed. Dump runs, cleaning out rubbish etc Will get back to it soon though.

Really annoying when real life gets in the way of what you want to be doing.

I received a package today from"Cast your anchor" Canada. It was a small test buy of 7mm deadeyes and chains for the Endeavor. By the look of it they will be perfect. So I will be getting more. i think there was ten in a packet. Sorry i would have put up a a pic but I've been really busy. Lthump

Interesting looking site. Think I will stick to what they supplied with the Endeavour.

Actually , I haven't looked to see what the kit has. I will use your parts post to find them. Thanks for that by the way ! I have just become so jaded by what they supplied I just get my own parts. I should look first to see if anything is actually useful. It's been so long I can't remember lthump

Getting my hobby shed computer going again. Means easier access to reference material. Should be running tomorrow.Had my son crawling through the roof running Ethernet cable from the shed. Sadly time to model has been hard to come by lately. lthump

I started on the IJN mini attack sub instead of the endeavor. I thought I could get past the hardest bit with a bit of enthusiasm. Turned into a hard slog but stubbornness got me through. I'll be happy to go back to the endeavor.

I went to install the rudder on the endeavor and found I had misplaced the brass and rudder. Almost panic ! I knew they would be in the shed somewhere ? However I must have turned the place upside down 3 times before I found them hiding in plain site. Always the way.I played around with scaling the longboat pictures from the "endeavor anatomy book" and got them roughly to scale for our endeavor. Thought that might come in handy later. Happy to send you the PDF file if you have email. I worked out it should be 11cm long roughly at 1/48. However the model is said to be between 1/51/1/54 scale ?.Haven't worked out the kits longboat length. lthump

Been a while since I put up a photo. Has been slow going on the Endeavor.Everything seems to take forever. I finally made some progress on the rudder, which will "eventually " mean I will have finished the bottom half of the hull. I found some smaller brass nails to use , rather than the standard ones. These have a smaller head and look more realistically sized. However it's a process ! I had to blacken them in a chemical bath and cut them in half. Then drill each one a hole and get that tiny thing into said hole with a small amount of super glue.. Took some patience. In the pic you can see the process. Every bit gets closer to the end I suppose. It's only been 10 years now. LOL
