g'day Dave, shes in need of some serious sanding fore and aft and around the middle. Ive been a bit slack, got her to this stage and cant seem to find the enthusiam to sand for ages. I think I will have to get some vicious sand paper. Tony

;D LOL ..... you both made me laugh I'm sure my wife on a bad day could be abrasive enough to make the boat dissappear .I decided to make a few little bits, like the companionways. One was all bent in the bag so I wet it and sat it under a heavy object to flatten it and that worked- "whew". I thought they looked oversize at first but they look a bit better now Ive had them a while. I am looking at the main hatchway now and how to make something like shipohlic's mainhatch. Actually Im just finding excuses to not sand the hull

Try "ebay" Dave. Just put a price on it that you would be happy with tho, so it cant go for a song and say postage on top of that. Thats, if you arent, having second thoughts. ;D

I might actually do something on my ship this weekend, been busy chasing a new lady friend past few weeks. Yeah the sanding, I used a palm sander on the bow and stern to get rid of the bulk of the wood then finished off with a sanding block. You need really coarse paper to rip into it. Still a bloody lot of work though. Steve

Good luck with your new lady friend Steve, hope it works out for you. I have been wondering if there were any power tools i could employ to sand it down .Got to be careful not to go to far. I will get into it shortly as it is annoying me now and holding me up. Sorry for not posting pics but there's not a lot to show at the moment. I am looking at putting in the windows ; port and starboard -great cabin as i plank that top bit rather than cut them in later and the same for the stern airing ports which i will have open as well. Also I am thinking of cutting out some of the side hull airing ports to have open. This could look rather neat as the lighting will stream out of them from the lower deck. This slows things down tho.

I was thinking of having some of those ports open as well, for the same reason.
