Just added the 'extra bits' to my 'Teddy Bear'..when I first opened the 'detail' pack, I did count only 5 sets of brake blocks when there should have been 6. I mailed 'Hattons' straight away and on the same day that they received it, a replacement pack was on its way. Well, I got that last Wednesday and finally fitted thedetail parts over the week end, and does it make a difference?....huge! I think it's due to this wee diesel having such a long wheelbase that makes the brake gear stand out...she's definitely one of my favorites for sure. lastly, it's a 'weathered version',(as I've said) very subtle, but it's even less now, a wee bit of Humbrol thinner on a cotton bud softly wiped over parts of the bodywork that I want to smarten up a wee bit is making it look like someone cares about its cleanliness!.....me!!.....I reckon it'll end up 'pristine' before long........Dave

Go for it, I've got 4 Warships, but they are the 'old' Mainline ones, detail 'superb'..motors, well, that's a different story! So, although I'd like a 'new' one, i'll leave it for the moment before I update....Dave

Well, knowing Hattons it'll probably be 'picked packed sent' in todays 'UK' post, but remember, the Liverpudlians are still in the land of nod,so you can forget the week-end,hows about, one week Thursday??,or if I dare predict, one week Monday??....thar,doth that suit ye, ha-harr....hopefully, I'll get my 'rail cleaner' today.......Dave(in wishfull thinking mode)
P/S..I've probably saw or 'heard' every single Warship that was built at 'North British' in Glasgow. They run brand new as a 'light engine' movement down through 'Central' , that took them through Wishaw and they passed by my bedroom window between the hours of 11pm and 12pm ago, every,or every other night at a range of about 200yards!! Their strange 'Hydraulic' engine noise reverberating in the 'silent night' very distinctive from the usual class 40s, Peaks, etc etc, and if I were 'sleeping' this 'noise awakened me from the dead!!, but I still did the 'honest' thing and did not mark them off my 'Ian Allan Combined Volume' I saw a few in real life at Newton Abbot, (and surrounding districts) during holiday time "the Glasgow fer fortnight!!,I'll need to look up the 'Combine' and see if 'Zealous' is amongst my 'cops'....

The loco is a pre order, so it could be awhile, before it comes.

It's a 'pre-order' so 'on it's way' well, that is not exactly true, and we know how long some 'pre -orders' can take!! Anyhoo, it's Heljans final 'Railbus' run..the 'Park Royal', (Airfix did this one) 5 units only and all based in Scotland, and, as I had actually 'copped' 3 of the class (trainspotting days)I decided to get one of those (obviously) and opted for one with 'whiskers'.......I'm also considering an early 'Sulzer' (Cl26) but there will be several options with this class so it's best to wait until the 'one that I want' arrives...........Dave

Don't think I'll bother with one of these, at least not yet. Need to get a few orders out of the way first.

I wouldn't either Anthony as I think they are a bit expensive for such a wee unit, (117 squid)but it's the 'Scottish' connection that's got me,and I suppose 'Hatton's' discount helps as well bringing it down to 83 squids....Dave
